Thanks for all your advice guys, really appreciate it. I think a new battery wouldn't be a bad idea anyway so that's first on my shopping list. Then I need to find a good local garage to investigate/change the belt and give her a good service. Is there anyone on here local to me ( Stoke on Trent ) w...

Just been to start it and there's not enough power in the battery so looks like either the battery is knackered or the alternator is shot, and that would half explain the sqeeling belt if it's the alternator one.

It's the belt on the drivers side of the engine. I know it's definitely this because when I spray it with sqeek stop, it purrs like a cat and stops any sqeeling.

I take it it's a timing belt then lol, it's sqeels like a pig so I'm guessing it's time for a new one. Is it a big job?
