Re: How to get code reader to work on EOBD port on early gen 3's

That same wire your trying to tap into is the same wire as the one on the plug under the drivers side panel near the brake pedal ( i believe its another diagnosis plug for factory use) tap into it there it's the same colour wire much much easier than trying to get your hands down there and less chan...

Hi/ hola
Is it not called Tiburon there?
Cool name as you probably know it means shark there, hoping to take a cruise to visit my family there next summer but with a 2.7 it's gonna cost me.

Re: Cheap as chips?

watch "mad car mods" on you tube, they try out all these things and youll soon go off the idea. also like Fletch 26 stated they are self learning so no good there either.

Re: Sound from air intake.

I agree with firsttimecoupeowner
I was wondering the same thing.
the intake is on the passenger side unless you've got a left hander, but if it is on the drivers side id be looking at the bearings as they are on the drivers side especially alternator.
just an idea

Re: Soon to be owner in the west midlands

:text-welcomewave: My V6 defenately makes me smile, the petrol consumption is about the same as my old 2.0 Astra Also there's so many little inexpensive things you can do to them to make them that little bit more special. And I'd do the snorkus mod (plenty of post on here on how to do it and why) it...

LED indicator bulbs flashing quicker now

Fitted canbus error free (apparently) LED indicator bulbs and now they flash quicker than before. Am I right in thinking I need to fit a different relay that compensates for this? Tried to look on fleebay but I don't think I'm asking for the right thing as all I get it normal relays coming up along ...

Re: How to get code reader to work on EOBD port on early gen

Great walk through! Many thanks for posting it. I was a bit nervous about cutting the wire on the back of the OBD socket but it worked fine. My only problem is that with the reader plugged in I cannot start the car. If I take it out then the car starts no problem. Anyone else experience this? Thank...

Re: How to get code reader to work on EOBD port on early gen 3's

By the way, for some reason Pin 2 is actually Pin 7 on mine. ( can't remember if it's the K-Line)
Thought I might point that out in case someone's confused.
It actually has each Pin numbered, tried to send a pic, but my tablet won't let me.

Re: SERVICE OFFERED Refurbished Brake Calipers Exchange Service

Brilliant idea mate, Is this service still available?
If so, how do I go about this?
Going to change the discs and callipers when the weather picks up a few degrees.
Wish someone fitted alarms too as their crap, im ok on the mechanical side of things but not so patient
With the electrical side.

Wow that looks like a lot of money and work for the amount of bph you get out of it, and as for them asking you to send a pic, now that is comical. id charge them to use it. :icon-lol:

Re: How to get code reader to work on EOBD port on early gen 3's

Hi, newbie here, Thank you so much! worked perfectly on my early 2002 v6. took about 20/25mins. I've now got my tablet with scanmaster-pro scanning/tuning software plugged into my 7inch stereo screen so I can see live sensor data, handy as I have a very intermittent problem i'm trying to sort. no fa...
