I haven't had any mishaps with jacking, but the amount of times I've tried to shut the bonnet with tools under there... The main reason I push it shut rather than slamming!

Can you not just push down on the throttle spring mechanism thing instead? That way both cables go slack instead of being pushed back in to their respective housings.

That reminds me of when a relative of mine was clearing out some old stuff and found an old small wooden table.

They put it up on eBay titled "table" with a thumbnail picture and the description was just "collect".

Safe to say it found no bids :P
