New Head Unit and amp/speakers and sub

I'm interested in changing my sound system in the car. I'm after a tablet/or a pioneer head unit. Double DIN or the one I have looked at is Pioneer AVH-X7800BT. I have a TS111 on an 09 plate. Im also after upgrading sound etc. Anyone know of any recommendations for which unit and which speakers and amp and sub. Im looking for quality over volume. And sub must be as discreet as possible. Any links for ideas or links to what I need to purchase are appreciated. Im in NE England. Any group members can recommend fitting services or near by. Thanks.

There are other things to maybe you can point out links to - New custom exhaust (A bit louder etc),
- performance enhancement parts and fitting etc etc.

Halo lights - currently speaking to someone and arranging this
Window tinting -
Custom Graphics etc -

Any help would be appreciated. Pete

Check out the Infinity factory fit sub they got in the US, I imported one of these and flung the factory 10" sub and fitted a 12" one. They don't come much more discreet. I did have pictures up in my build thread but photobucket went all mercenary and censored them all. Just type "US infinity sub tiburon" into Google images to see pics. I also fitted Kicker 6x9's in the rear and they improved the bass that much that if I had just fitted them first I would not have bothered with the sub.

For a discrete sub I had this (well the older model but same thing) previously http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PIONEER-200W- ... 1099135676

Sturdy enough to put shopping on top of it and had a built in amp, then can run speakers from head unit. Anything involving a seperate amp for speakers and/or sub is going to start eating into boot space or spare wheel space heavily.

Her's a couple pics of mine as it is now, 2400w on subs now rather than the 200w the flat thing had previously hehe.

Basically spare wheel replaced with 2 amps, boot floor repalced with custom marine plywood job using original as template the subs on the wheel cover. Sub box is on a quick release plug so just unplug and lift out to get a full boot again.

I deleted your earlier post Rod as it wasn't needed :handgestures-thumbupleft:

That would be the sub I would have if I ever got one. Nice and discreet and plenty of room in the boot still. Nice set up Rod :happy-partydance:

the stock sub is much neater and as dodge as said still keeps your boot space. had one in my coupe. but i added the us system to mine which was an infinity system. which included the stock and but i used 2 way components in the doors and crystal clear 6x9 in the rear quarters with a mid range mounted on the rear quarter panels.
new coupe rebuild.

I had one of these in my coupe and found it to be really decent. It won't burst any eardrums but it did make the sound much richer and had a decent amount of bass for what it is. I would definitely recommend it along with a decent head unit and upgraded speakers all round. I think I might still have it lurking in a cupboard somewhere

Here is a pic of it in my coupe

+1 on the Pioneer flat sub, that's the one I had. Till you throw in something which takes up a lot of boot space it's really rather good for only 200w
