Marcus's 2005 Hyundai Coupe SE

Well, an unfortunate time in writing this, but I've had to choose between two cars as I can't afford to run both. I've also lost all motivation to continue working on the Coupe and so it is time to move on. Most people probably know everything about this car already but the listing is below. It is advertised elsewhere but club members will definitely have priority (and a lower price).

"I bought this Hyundai Coupe in 2014 and since then have put an extensive amount of work into it. At the time there was a bad oil leak from the main crankshaft seal; upon discovering it was the crank that was worn I decided it would be best to replace the entire engine with the same sized unit from a 2008 Hyundai Coupe SIII - as a result, though the official mileage of the car is 135k, the engine is closer to 80k. The clutch and all belts were changed upon installation of the engine (nearly 10k miles ago) and last summer the gearbox oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant was changed, as well as the valve cover gasket and the cam belt. The engine oil and filter was changed a few weeks ago as was the windscreen washer pump.

Here's some of the modifications this Coupe has undergone:

2008 SIII i4 Engine Swap
Full Exterior Vinyl Wrap - KPMF Gloss White
Axe Ex14s, 18x8+42 with 215/35 tyres
BC Racing BR Coilovers
H&R spacers (25mm front, 40mm Rear)
Hyundai Trajet twin pot callipers
MTEC dimpled and grooved discs
Lemförder droplinks and tie rod ends
Spoiler, rear wiper, radio antenna, badges, boot keyhole and front plate mount removed
Custom fibreglass eyelids
Custom foglight surrounds
Hawk 6000k HIDs
LED switchbacks and fogs
Tinted Windows (20% rear, 5% side rear)
Tinted brakelights, sides and fogs
Aluminium mesh grills
Slave cylinder restrictor valve removed
White interior with LEDs
Sony MEX-N4000BT

Mechanically the car is perfect, though I haven't had as much time to keep on top of the cosmetics as of late. I understand this is priced higher than most other Coupes of this age and mileage, but hope that the newer engine, suspension (which is fully adjustable) and other modifications justify the price. Selling because I am importing a new car from the US and can't afford to keep two cars. The mileage will go up as the Coupe is in daily use. Feel free to get in touch at any time if you have questions or to arrange a viewing."

Really sad to see you selling up Marcus, this is a truly exceptional coupe. Whats the price (I couldn't see it in the post above)
Suffers from CDO! It's the same as OCD but the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.

Thank you - whoops, completely forgot, entered it separately everywhere else. Asking £2400.

I genuinely didn't but I also couldn't predict that I would travel to America and buy a car, so hey :icon-lol: I know I will enjoy it, I've already travelled about 15,000 miles in it!

Sad Times, as said above, there always comes a time.

GLWS and let's hope she stays in the family, because your coupe (as well as some others) epitomises the dedication some of our members have to the Coupe.

I have not booked ModNats this year nor do I think I'll have time. Also the car won't leave America until June 1st at the earliest...
