I see myself in a couple of these posts around Feb 2014 .

Back then I myself had a lot of criticism for Daz and he knows it, but, after a chat everything was sorted.
Well, for me anyway. He may yet kill me :icon-lol:

All I can say is when you read stuff the voice in your head has a certain tone and it's not always right. Sometimes yeah, and if you feel the need to call bollocks then you should do so. But every now and then you think to yourself "ahh poo" ;)

It was only because you didn't know the wider plan, that was probably my fault for not telling you. But I told you it would all become clear and it did

Jesus, I'm feeling old now.

Not here quite as long as dodge, probably around 7 or 8 years or so.

What daz has said are facts. I've been here for it all and seen it myself.
This site (as UKHCF) almost shut down at one stage but a few of us managed to keep it going. Daz and Rob brought it back and its come on in leaps and bounds.

If I wasn't so busy with work/family etc, I would love to be still in an Admin or Mod position here but theres other members here who have the time to put in all the effort and work it takes to keep a forum running smoothly.................and they're doing an absolutely fantastic job of it too!!!!

I don't post here much anymore since I sold my coupe last year (still regret it), but its hard to stay away from something that I was a part of for so long and I still find myself logging in most days for a read.

Feeling all nostalgic in this thread now.............might have to buy another coupe

It's also fair to point out without you and rik, but especially you, the site probably would not be here in this form. To be fair I had lots of good backup and a lot of people who kept my feet firmly on the floor

Why do people come crying about things in the past? It's important to remember these things lots of people put in a lot of effort whilst as usual the whingers kept using the site, it's very easy to sit back and criticise whilst you sweet nothing to assist. I seem to remember a certain group of people trying to wreck this site by deleting posts when they left but the high moral ground folk were not chewing their ear. Seems to me some folk just like to keep having a go at dupe and his merry men, who's efforts I personally much admire

Some more historical dates if it helps complete the 'roots':

20th June 2001

Xorro (Zoe) starts UKHCS Forum at ezboard (I joined later in the year - any other old timers from then still around?)

21st June 2002

UKHCC established by Richard734, Squire et al as a tangible 'club' component of the UKHCS Forum. Attempts were made to get sponsorship from Hyundai UK however they were not keen on going beyond provision of merchandise. Pipercross stepped in to provide seed funding though and my then-local dealer St George Hyundai in Bristol provided parts/servicing discounts to members.

February(ish) 2004

First official recognition of UKHCS/UKHCC by Hyundai UK in their in-house magazine

16th August 2005

UKHCS gains its 1000th member

22nd December 2005

UKHCS Forum moves to a self-hosted site due to rising ezboard (now Yuku) fees

Wow have I been hosting the Forum (in one guise or another) for 10 years now???

And to be more accurate, it was... Thu Dec 22, 2005 @ 9:39 am that the self hosted board was born :handgestures-thumbupleft:
