Yes thank you for that Daz, it was named the 'SuperGun' to be precise.

It was a piece of engineering to be used to launch projectiles into the air at great velocity indeed be that rocket based, projectiles or even satellites, none of which came to fruition.

I saw an Avenger (for that is what it is) outside of the A10 at Mildenhall one year, it's a truly impressive piece of kit - damned near 20ft long, and with sufficient recoil force to theoretically stall the plane if the burst is too long. Cheers mate - yeah thats Bertie.Wheels are anthracite but due to the general lack of sunlight today they look black as the ace of spades in photos :icon-lol:
