New policy

Well, as some of you know, My insurance has been an absolute stinker whilst owning the V6. At the age of 20 I was paying £3200 for the year. I'm now 21 and just had a quote from AF, this was the last port of call for me but it should have been the first, as soon as i was quoted £865 i bit the blokes arm off! Gave him my debit card and paid in full...Might even have enough cash left over to fix my clutch! :icon-biggrin: Hopefully everything will be hassle free for the year! :)

Haha yeah I am 21 with 1 no claim accident mind, though the accident didn't put the price up with Adrian Flux, with Admiral however they wanted an extra £500! it went from £920 up to £1400 when I had told them about the accident that was a year ago with no claim made and no damage!

See, I moan when people moan that there insurance is £370 a year haha, I was paying nearly that per month!!...well minus the £70 :P

Or you could pay monthly...with most companies they wont add too much interest onto the yearly price...With Admiral however, it was sometimes coming to about £600 on top of your quote to pay monthly!! paying off in full though seems to be a much better option ;)

i was paying £700 with 1 years ncb on a 2.0 when i was 23 (i think, it has been a while :P)

i do remember a piece i was reading saying it was now cheaper for these young-uns, to hire a driving instructor to ferry them around than insure a cheapo fezzy and drive it round for a year, on average mileage ofc

I'm 26 and pay £500 odd for the V6. My best experience was an old 1971 Mini Van 850. Standard they wanted £3500 at 19 to insure it (as a second car). I decided to modify it 1100 stage 3 engine, cooper s brakes and wheels and I insured it as my only vehicle (valued in excess of £10k for £300 with AF) :confusion-shrug:
