Did Hyundai solve all the problems with the facelift? Of course they didn't!

Rear washer pipe blocked

#1

Post by barrygadd2003 »

I've just replaced the rear washer pump and realised the piping between the pump and the rear jet is blocked. The jet nozzle is clear (I poked a short length of wire through)
I've tried blowing and sucking but cannot get any success.
Anybody know if this is a common problem?
Also anybody know how to clear the blockage?

Blowing won't clear it, a footpump or bicycle pump with one of those little fittings they come with (that usually get chucked away) or even better a compressor and blow through the pipe

A little bit of vinegar in the bottle keeps the pump, pipes and nozzles clean and unblocked!

Many thanks for the replies. I'll try to connect the output from the compressor to the pipe and have a blast.....
Also I'll use the vinegar tip after purging the system.
I'll let you know how I get on.
