DRIVING outside the UK can be a daunting prospect for road users – but not for much longer.

New left-hand driving lessons are being introduced to help those with a fear of driving abroad. The new driving school, by Skyscanner, is aimed at giving Brits more confidence on non-UK roads.

Recent research showed 27% of travellers are afraid of driving on the opposite side of the road, with most admitting to letting their partner do all the driving.

Skyscanner are offering FREE lessons to those wishing to get some practise in before heading off on holiday this summer.

“With two-thirds of the world’s countries driving on the right-hand side of the road we wanted to give British holidaymakers the confidence they need to drive overseas,” said Skyscanner’s Mary Porter.

She added: “There is so much to discover off the beaten track so we hope people make the most of it without the fear of driving abroad.”
