To ebay for a new bumper.....

Picture the scene....

Date in the car, had a lovely morning, roof up, windows down, sun beaming, into the multi-story to park up before going to an open air music event.... perfect.

start pulling into a parking space on the left between and car and concrete column, porche 4X4 and a pretension female drive up my ass. Misjudged, and had to reverse back, surprise surprise parking sensors are screaming, and the woman isn't going to move back at the sight of my reverse lights. So, rather than causing a fuss with a girl in the car i think "Thats fine, plenty of room". I just about held back the tears while apologising profusely at the crunch that occurred. Pictures below, needless to say as she was talking throughout the afternoon all i could think about was my girl sitting in the multi-story and how i was going to fix her. Found one on ebay in same colour, for about £50 so will most likely be a cheaper fix than expected! Picture below:

Best place to find one painted the same colour as my current car? Or would it be a "Buy the bumper and get is sprayed" deal?

Looking on there I can only find 1 bumper in black so it may be a case of having it resprayed

Thats what i have found too... Was in contact with someone about one in blue, described "excelent condition". Only when i agreed to buy it, 4 hour drive away, As long as it was in the condition described, did he send me pictures where hes obviously driven into a curb causing the whole bottom bar to be marred and cracked.

Anyone have any idea how much it would be to get a professional respray on the bumper if i took it off the car? Rough ballpark only.

This is the problem. I have found bumpers to buy (online auctions) for around £300 but would need a spray. My local main dealer offered me £500 for a new bumper already sprayed... For the difference i may as well go new but it's a pretty expensive fix

Arrrrgh, nightmare week at work meaning no time to sort much. I did see that hyundai for breaking on gumtree and sent him a message, no reply, but i will give him a call. Things don't seem as bad as earlier presumed, i just can't bare to see another coupe get neglected, i see one every morning with the back bumper caved in, makes me cringe. Thanks for the help and your time guys and gals!

Hi, sorry been away. The £500 was in Hull (Minstergate) and was for a brand new 3.5 bumper sprayed to match.
