Hello everyone
I'm the long-time owner of a gen 1 coupe, and thought I would pop on here and see what's going on.
My car is unmodified apart from the 'custom' paintwork after some scrote threw paint-stripper or some suchlike substance along the side of it, splashing bonnet, wings, doors, roof and rear end. It's also far too reliable. I keep meaning to buy something more modern, but my gen 1 keeps rolling without going wrong. It is comfortable, surprisingly flexible (you wouldn't believe what I have loaded it up with), looks great (apart from that paintwork) and I really like it, old though it may be now.
Anyway, I'll go see what's being talked about elsewhere in the forum now.

Hi Peeps.
Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Ipswich right now.
The scrotes who did my custom paint job did every other car down the entire road. Of course, never found and similar occurrences have happened since then.
Looked into re-painting it, but it seemed to cost a fortune, esp given the official value of the car now.
I find that the car is also a 'bump' magnet It always seems to aquire tiny bumps, scratches and dints from other cars when parked, esp on the corners. My previous car was a whopping great big long-wheel-base 4x4 and that never got touched despite it being parked in the same places. So my theory is that the coupe simply doesn't get noticed by other car drivers as it's low, so they knock it when parking alongside it.
