Potential Coupe Owner

Looking at getting a Gen 3.5, so wanted to find out abit more about them! Any help in what I should be looking for when buying one would be great!

When we were looking at buying a Coupe last year we quickly decided the Gen 3.5 was the one we wanted. Most Gen 3's have replacement parts donated by Gen 3.5's because they have lots of decent details to them. (The SIII was too expensive for what was just a facelift to the Gen 3.5, albeit a sexy one!)

The cambelts are due to be changed at 50k (I think). We had a new clutch on ours at 40k (£350). Apart from that ours is dead good (touch wood!).

I personally struggle with parking ours, but that's cos I drive like a bit of a girl lol!! :auto-swerve:

There are lots and lots of modified motors on this forum, but I think the general consensus is to buy standard and do the mods yourself.

We attended our first group meet in a Vauxhall, and found the info very useful and the people very welcoming, I would suggest you hook up with some local HCOCer's for a chat!
