Doesn't membership cover you, not the car?
My RAC does.

Depends what type of cover you've got - mine covers the car, my dad's covers him.

The basic package with RAC covers the car. An option you can get which also covers you so doesn't matter what car your in. Bare in mind also when you do take cover out for the first 48 hours you don't have cover or at least they won't come out in that time

That's the one - I've got the whole lot with the RAC - costs me a fortune really but I know I'm pretty much covered anywhere.

I've got recovery, I've not got home start so I'm not sure if it's me or the car. I've got it a few days now so I'm well in for the 48 hours.
