I've owned my car just shy of a couple weeks now.

Had to get the tyres balanced which exposed a broken stud on drivers side rear, that ended up in full hub replacement as OEM studs just didn't fit for whatever reason (most likely the hubs were already aftermarket as the wheels are too). It also needed a new battery as in spite of a 50 mile drive after a jump start it just wouldn't hold a charge (alternator tested fine).

So with those little bits out the way it's running like new (well... as new as a 12 year old, 104,000 mile car can). I gave it a good wash:

I never got around to detailing the engine bay, after a good couple hours scrubbing, waxing, polishing the car, then shining the wheels and tyres I was knackered by then. But it's a healthy V6, no suspicious noises, knocks, rattles or anything outside of a pin hole leak in the pre-cat exhaust.

One little thing I have done to it already, in fixing an advisory of the last MOT that said the clear coating on the front license plate had peeled away, I decided to get the squarer, import style plate. With a little accent at the bottom, Valhalla is the name of my tattoo shop and coincidentally is also themed in red and black, which may have been a heavy influence in buying the car in the first place:

As far as plans for the body go, I threw the profile image into photoshop to mock up what I want to do with the body:

I want to look for a donor car in black for the petrol cap and wing mirrors. A local body shop said they will fix the rust spot, as well as the bubbling rust along the entire length of the front of the bonnet, and do the gills in trade for some tattoo work at my studio. I may just plasti-dip the wheels until I find a decent sent of black 17's, we'll see. Hopefully should have all this done by the end of winter.
