I've just had a go at doing the bushes and the bigger one was easy but the smaller one will not go on. I need some help :angry-banghead:

Ordered my gen 3.5 gear linkage bushes last Tuesday, arrived with me on Saturday and fitted in less than 10 minutes! (was removing my CAI and re-fitting the stock airbox anyway)

Tools needed are 10mm socket, needle nose pliers and a little grease.

Lou sends new circlips so no-need to re-use the old ones, he also includes a strip of emery paper to file the rods slightly to help their movement.

The gear change now feels like i've had a new gearbox fitted! each shift is purposeful, precise and notchy but in the good way.
all the slack and spongeyness has gone and it feels so much better to drive.
It's also got rid of my issue with getting into reverse, which was annoying to say the least.

All in it is easily the best £26 i've ever spent on any car and one that's made the biggest and most noticeable difference for performance and drive-ability.

I only found out about the bushes from reading this thread, so thank you to the early adopters and thanks to Lou at BRD for a decent upgrade kit.

Yeah the pin on the 2nd one was not for budging.
Pair or wire snips should get it off tho.

When they come fit them with the new bracket, it looks odd as different shape from originals but fit's just fine ;)
