Fitted canbus error free (apparently) LED indicator bulbs and now they flash quicker than before.
Am I right in thinking I need to fit a different relay that compensates for this?
Tried to look on fleebay but I don't think I'm asking for the right thing as all I get it normal relays coming up along with random stuff, or isn't there such a thing as a LED indicator relay?
Any ideas would be welcome.

Usually a fast flash indicates (no pun intended..) a fault with the system; generally a failed bulb... So it appears the car seems to think the bulbs are 'not there', it's likely another case of needing proper resistors with LEDs.

That's what I was thinking. I think it's the same as when you fit leds in your brake light and it thinks a bulb has gone and it stops the cruise working.s4mc0x wrote:Usually a fast flash indicates (no pun intended..) a fault with the system; generally a failed bulb... That's how you know when someone in front then as a bulb out is it flashes fast

^ this. You can't just 'replace the relay' in the GK, its soldered onto the BCM.

You can buy resistors that slow down the flash rate of LED bulbs - I'll look for a link for you.
This sort of thing - the ones in the link are designed for bikes, but can't see why they wouldn't work:

Re: LED indicator bulbs flashing quicker now
Load resistors fitted in the indicator wiring is all you need, because LED bulbs draw less current they flash faster as there is not the same load on the flasher unit relay.

Thank you all, I bought a manual and checked wiring diagram and yes as Outlaw says the relay cant be removed or replaced. so opted for these in the Pic
will be fitting them on weekend.
