I was a member of the HCC for a number of years. I've now made the switch to pick your brains with my issues.

Thanks for the very very very warm welcome.
I snapped a quick pic over the weekend as I change mods that often it tends to look different on a monthly basis.

Thanks! I have another set of DRLs mounted in the grille that are triggered with the fob (courtesy circuit)

They're really shoddy ones from China. I'm fairly sure they're all made by the same supplier as I've had 3 sets (1 broke and bought another for a motorbike). Supplier isn't on ebay anymore but I managed to find similar 'COB DRLs'.
They look like the picture below.
Wiring: that's the question. I tried to wire to the ignition, have them triggered by the courtesy switch. I really wanted them to trigger when I opened the car and then be on all the time when driving. Didn't work...
In the end I lost patience and wired it to the sidelights. Simple Scotch connection I sealed up with heat shrink tape and rubber wire covers. Still does the job!
That's why I added my old DRLS behind the grille to light up on the courtesy switch on the fob.
They look like the picture below.
