Hello
Hi, I've owned 4 toyota Soarers in the past and thought I'd try a hyundai for my next coupe. Last car was an D2 Audi A8 which I got stung pretty bad with engine issues. So I'm gonna check out the hyundai for known pitfalls first before I buy this time around. Any 2nd hand car can go wrong but I'll try and do my homework first to at least avoid known issues. Any advice much appreciated. We had 2 or 3 UK soarer sites. Looks like you hyundai guys also have breakaway clubs. I hope I picked the right one haha

Re: Hello
Hello and to the best and really the only forum to be on
Loads of info on here mate but the main things to check is when and if the timing belt has been done (around 50,000 or 90,000 miles)
Rust either on the leading edge of the bonnet and on the rear arches.
Check every electrical thing on her, Door actuators can go but you can get them from Korea 2 for the price of 1 over here
Wheel bearing but are easily replaced, drop links as well but also cheap to do.
Engines are pretty tough as long as they have been serviced well and regularly.
Other than that its just what colour you want . Obviously Blue is best and don't let anyone tell you different
