Hi all,
Just bought my first coupe yesterday. I have always liked the Gen3 onwards and decided to get one. £300 for a 53 plate 2.0L, needs a bit of TLC.
Only thing I hate is the extremely high bite on the clutch! I have never driven a car like this and it's a nightmare. You could probably change gear without dipping the clutch it's that high.
The clutch is slipping which may be another reason it's so high but thats something else that needs sorting.
The bloke I bought it from said the clutch is slipping because he put fully synthetic oil in at the last oil change. Surely this has no effect on the clutch??
Anyways, Nice to find a decent club with lots of useful / helpful topics to read through.
Cheers
Si

Re: Hi
Hello Simon and to the forum
Yes they are very high the clutch biting points on our cars but yes him putting synthetic oil in won't make a blind bit of difference to the clutch

Re: Hi
You can take up to 5mm off the slave cylinder push rod to lower the pedal (keeping the domed shaped end )
