Hello newbie here
Hi, newbie here who brought a 2007 Siii yesterday, I'm finding selecting reverse gear is a bit hit and miss, is this a common problem as I never had it on my previous coupes. Thanks guys

Welcome.
Problem is likely an ageing rubber bush in the gear linkage cables at the gearbox end, 15+ year old rubber in a hot environment! Simple to replace.

Also check the clutch hydraulic fluid and slave cylinder for leaking
