So I have just purchased a Hyundai Coupe 54 plate 2.7v6 49k on the clock with full service history. Advertised at £2459 but picked it up for £1800!
Managed to get the price down as it didn't come with a cd player/radio and the handbrake has gone which will need sorting.
I have a few plans for the car which probably only you guys can help with...
1) New cd player and surround, has anyone fitted an aftermarket cd player? Looking for one that fits perfectly so pics would be good also the metal surround has cracked so I would like a new one. Any thoughts on where I can get one of these?
2) Wheels - the wheels could do with a refurb but I am considering replacing them all together, again if anyone has fitted aftermarket wheels Id love to see pics
3) Wheel spacers - the wheels could do put being pushed out a bit more, anyone know where I can get some of this and the best sizes? I was thinking 30mm rear and 15mm front??
4) Tango lights! - is there anyway to de tango the front and rear lights or am i looking at getting some aftermarket ones... do the lights from the gen 3.5 bolt straight on??
5) The drive side seat bolster is warn (no rips) is there anyway to get the colour back into this to restore it at all?
6) and finally the keys... shockingly dull and old fashioned and also my key fob doesn't appear to work! What are my options? Is there a flip key available with a built on fob for the central locking?
I'm sure theres more so I might be back

Re: new 2.7v6 owner :)
welcome to the club fella . you shouldn't really be asking questions in this section (im sure one of our big surly type mods will be along soon enough)
3) wouldn't dream of putting different size spacers on fronts and rears......30mm you'll get away with, BUT do not use the universal type, for anything more than 10mm I'd be looking at getting hubcentric spacers anyway....just be aware.....however you do it, you will shorten the life of your wheel bearings
4) contact markyb1986 on here, he's our resident tatlocker, he'll sort you out
one more thing......where you based fella?

Re: new 2.7v6 owner :)
thanks for the advice... I had the 30mm rear and 15mm fronts on my celica (a very common mod) and never heard of any problems would never use universal ones only hubcentric ones designed for my car... Will definitely bare it in mind though.
thanks for that I'll drop mark a PM and see what he says also I am based in Northampton

Welcome aboard mate. Looks like you got yourself a bargain
Not giving you a bollocking for it in any way, its just not many people check the newbie section. You'd get a much better and quicker response to any questions you have by posting them in the relevant areas.
For ideas on wheels tho, have a gander in the diary section and photo section at various members coupes. For aftermarket wheels, the general recommendation is no bigger than 18's as a decent set of 17's or 18's fill the arches nicely.
anyway mate, have a look around. we're a friendly/helpful bunch on here so you'll get all the advice and help you'll ever need

Re: new 2.7v6 owner :)
also if your looking for aftermarket wheels id hold off for just a little while, as part of the work that we are doing on the HCOC vendors section there will be a alloy wheel company coming joining us who should be offering some nice HCOC discount
