After my many conversations with Ross (Sharky) over the passed few weeks, what with supercharger talk, baffling about torque, wheel bearings, brand new gearboxes with warranties, and his strictly 6th gear commute to work. He's a fantastic gent to speak to and you should not hesitate to give him a call or even give him some business (if he can book you in! ;))

Ross has done a lot for the Hyundai community and he feels a little surprised and awed when I thank him for his time and knowledge after a phone conversation (having the decency to thank me back!!); which I think is wrong. He should be thanked on a regular basis and quite used to it, if I may say so myself.

So if he's helped you out over the phone... have the courtesy to say thanks for the time he just put into the conversation and the potential business he may have just lost spent talking to you. :icon-biggrin:

If he's done a good job on your car, please post in this thread so that others may see that he's a mechanic who goes that extra mile and makes sure things are done properly - just so others will know.

So, from all of us tight Hyundai owners, thank you! Keep up the good work.

Although I have only known Ross for a short time (about a year) he is the only person I will let work on my car. I will not let any other garage touch my car. He has done a lot of work on my car from a service to sorting out my sills on my car. My advice is if you do have the chance to see him to have work done take it and see him, he will tell you how it is and anything your not sure of he will tell you

Bloody awesome mechanic and nice guy too.Sure he has helped out loads of folk on here.I had a BCM fault recently and had no hesitation in driving over 200 miles round trip to let the expert have a look and he fixed it for a fraction of the cost Hyundai would charge and by the time I had had a couple of coffees and a walk around it was done.THREE CHEERS FOR ROSS YAY :bow-yellow:

I’ve travelled to Ross for the last three yearly services since I got my SIII, the last including a free MOT. I make the journey from Dover, a round trip of 410 miles.

The first time because he was cheaper including fuel costs than my local Hyundai dealer. He’s an easy guy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and you know you’re getting the job done correctly. So I keep going back.

Lastly he gives me that excuse to have a long and pleasant drive once a year. I just won’t go anywhere else. :text-thankyouyellow:

Almost forgot you will get a lovely looking stamp in your service book.

I have yet to have the pleasure of speaking to/meeting Ross but the impression i get is a Top Bloke all round, i am due the first service and MOT with my car since i have owned it in a couple of months so might make a day of it and go see what all the fuss is about.

Ross, If you're watching, a call will be coming your way in a few weeks to book Sophie Eloise in.

Feedback!

My clutch pedal had gone very high to the point that it would start to slip...after a discussion on here and my mechanic, I decided to take it to Ross...my mechanic was going to charge me £700 for a new clutch and dual mass flywheel but the biggest thing that put me off was the he said he hadnt done a V6 coupe clutch before but it couldnt be that hard!!

Ross charge me £405 for the job and finished it within the day! It was going to be about £460-£470 but he had a clutch in from a bulk order that he got cheaper from Hyundai.

Ross is a great bloke and has more knowledge than Hyundai themselves! A mate that drove down with me (I drove from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Birmingham) didn't realise how much he specialised in the coupe until he saw about 10 coupe's sitting outside of his garage!

I know I wouldnt hessitate to go back if i ever needed anything else, and that comes from someone that it costs £110 in fuel to get to Tiburon Automotive and back!

Ross at Tiburon Automotive is a great bloke with a wealth of knowledge, you really dont need to think twice about taking your car there!

Thanks again Ross! :handgestures-thumbupleft:
