Bit harsh your car not starting because of your computer skills! :laughing-rollingyellow:

So what was happening to you? Unlock car, key in, go to start the car and it just turned over without starting? Turn back a click, go back and then it would start? Out of interest did you have a flashing light on the dash, the little orange one on the left with a pic of a car with a key inside it?

where the disponder ariel is around the ignition barrel takes about half an hour for a mechanic to do cost me £30 in labour and yes id put the key in the ign and turn it the engine would just turn over &over as if it wasn't firing so id turn it off & try again. but no I got no warning lights on the dash the disponder ariel tells the ecu that the right keys in the ign & to turn itself on which inturn turns all the respective sensors on I hope this is helpful if it only helps 1 person i'll be happy

Yeah I thought it was that black ring, I had taken if off of my old blue coupe whilst playing with the ignition and the start button and wondered why the car didn't start, put that back on and it worked fine but just wanted to check!

Where did you get a new one from?
