Another, another newbie :-)

Morning!

Had my eye on a 2.7 3rd gen auto (slightly knackered leg so need one!) but it was in Nottingham and I live on the Isle of Wight so I took a gamble and bought it blind and had it driven down to Portsmouth.

I'd done my research and checked with the dealer that the sunroof worked and there were no warning lights on the dash. When I got it the sunroof has tried to work (will try some WD 40 and cleaning the switches/contacts) and I went over a little bump slowly putting the brakes on and my TCS and ABS lights have come on (I will try the earth advice and see if that works) so all in all I think I am going to be a regular on the forum:-))

The car is bloody lovely though and all badges up as the Tuscani :-))

Cheers

ABS and TCS light on together is usually a cracked ABS (Reluctor ) ring

Try the search function for more details

Hello and :text-welcomewave: to the forum

If you bought it from a dealer you should have 3 months warranty and as they said everything worked before you bought it I would have thought you should be able to get it fixed

I could be wrong as i don't know the full circumstance's

If you can hear the sunroof motor working try pushing the glass up at the back as it might be stuck. My gen1 used to do it sometimes

It's an awesome car - just been for a blast :-))

I've cleaned the sunroof and used some chain lube on it instead of WD 40 and it seems to have done the trick - guess it had just not been used for a while............

I've disconnected the earth and both TCS and ABS lights have gone off for now!?

So, so far so good - tomorrow I'm going to change the ariel and then I just have a couple of bits of bubbling to sort out on the front of the bonnet and she is tip top and good to go :-))
