New member help please

Morning all, new member with a Gen 1, 2litre. Have been trawling sites trying to get help as I have running issues.
The car only has about 60k on the clock although 14 years old, doesn't get used that much.
After the car has warmed up properly and especially after a motorway run, it loses acceleration.
Say for instance come off the motorway, at a roundabout, try to pull away and no power like a misfire across all cylinders, very fluffy and dangerous especially when pulling away into traffic.....wife's car so need to get it sorted.
Have heard the manicat can fail and cause issues, but costly to try if not the cause and also I would think it would have failed on emission test in MOT? (september) The fault has been there before last MOT, but is now getting worse.
Was going to replace HT leads, plugs, fuel filter and air filter as cheap first steps.
It only does it after a good run, starts first time from cold, no idling issues.
