Woke up with a smile on my face this morning...no, not that....I bought a Coupe yesterday. Beautiful, black...begging me to take her out. 2.0L Auto Gen 3. FSH with cambelt change at 56000 and only 60 k on clock....£1000. Chuffed. What a lot of car for not much money. I feel like I've had a lifestyle upgrade....lol. I might actually clean this car.

Thankyou all. I have just been out removing a few molecules of dust that I missed yesterday....I am thinking that the naff orangey headlights will be heading south for the Winter for starters- after that who knows. First thing is to fix the electric window driver's side. I accidentally opened it and couldn't close it again on my drive home from buying the car (he did warn me)...doh! I did eventually get it closed with the help of a dent-puller suction thingy and a prayer.I'm about to buy one of a Korean chappie for about 30 quid.

My wife bought a brand new I10 a couple of months ago and although I initially scoffed I am pretty amazed with it which is what led me down the road to buying a 10 year old car for myself....funny old world innit.

From one relative newbie to another. I had the same issue with the drivers window, knocked the price down cos of it. Did the same and got a new motor from woowon and 45 minutes later it worked

Ok - wife back in work today so I thought I'd have a go at fixing the non-working electric window (as opposed to tidying the house as per her instructions). First I tried taking apart the button and giving it a good talking to...made no difference. Took off door card and unbolted motor from door frame then undid 4 screws of motor and removed copper wound thingy. It looked pretty black so I cleaned all the copper and sprayed with WD40 and put it all back together and.....bugger all. Ah well, at least I can take it all apart now. Time to contact Mr thingy in Korea methinks.....

Sometimes that does do the trick with the electrics, especially on the slightly older ones as there's a build up of crap. Alas...
Hello & welcome, by the way!
