Hi guys i'm a new coupe owner (Well sorta) I have put down my deposit and am waiting on the dealer putting on an MOT and fixing any issues for free should it fail, which from my inspection looks like it shouldn't. Anyway its a red Gen3 1.6 born on the 30-04-2003 and its beautiful. This is my first car and was incredibly surprized I would even afford to own it. Needless to say in iv been doing my research since October last year and eventually can now put it to the test. I live in Cumbria so I have to travel all the way to Stanley in county Durham to pick it up when its all ready and legal. Anyway guys, formalities out of the way, seems like i'm gonna have one hell of a time here see you at the next meet if there is one in the north
Here's the only picture I got so far from the website, didn't think to take one when I put down the deposit

Yep, sure does! Even my drive to work has 3-4 different routes across B-roads, lovely
Would love for there to be a meet in Cumbria sometime, some really nice local places around the lakes...especially hardknott pass, master of all inclines

Hardknot! What a road!
It is an exceptional part of the country. Went for a bracing swim in Wasdale not long ago, too. The roads around there are pretty.

If you're ever up in this neck of the woods again give me a bell, maybe get some nice photos and have a little bit of a cruise!

Will do, my best mate works up at Sellafield so I get up there when I can. Little bit of a trek from Norwich though, haha!
When do you pick up the car?

welcome to the club
cumbria I'm there a lot over the summer months camping and I do open water swimming.
where abouts in cumbria are you?
theres not many coupes in cumbria at all..
which is a shame because it would be a great area for meets lol.
i loved driving around the area in my little 1.6 gen 1 it was great. got my gen3 last feb and its been to the area 3 times and also does really well. some of the best roads i have driven on have been in the cumbria area. and the coupe hasnt struggled once!

There's a meet near Manchester / rochdale Sunday 1st Feb if you're interested in the travel, it's turning out to be a fairly decent sized one.
