Newbie from Scotland

Hey folks.

Just bought a 57 plate 2.0 Sky Blue SIII Coupe last month. Enjoying it so far. Bit odd driving a N/A car again as have been used to turbos for past 6years having had a 99 passat for that long and the OH has a Leon K1.

Will get some pictures up at some point but am sure you all know what a standard SIII sky blue coupe looks like :icon-biggrin:

Current plans :
fix early signs of bubbling on OSR arch
get some good tyres on it. Got 4 different budget tyres on it :angry-nono:
figure out why she is tail-happy even at low speeds
good machine polish as the leading edge of bonnet wasn't blended very well when repair was done
Enjoy it :-)

Hello Scottish friend :text-welcomewave:

You answered your own question, it's tail happy because rubbish tires. Mine was the same when I bought it, switched them over asap

Thanks for the welcomes :-)

Up in Aberdeen, voted the UK's most dismal city... but also the highest employement status.. i reckon the 2 are definitely connected. :-)

Yeah, i had budgets on the rear of the passat and Rainsport 3s on the front... the coupe is budgets all round and is more tail happy. New tyres will be on soon, hopefully sorts it. However, not liking the way the standard wheels sit in the arches, so might wait for new wheels.

Will need to have a look about for a nice wheel with better offset. 17's seem fine though. Feel different to the 19s i had on the passat anyway. Haha
