Hi All

Recently purchased a Gen 3 2002 Coupe 2.0 in Silver.

I must say its a nice car to drive and seeing some of the cars on this forum theres a few mods id like to make.

Ive already ordered a square front number plate as I prefer the look of those, ive also swapped the stock panel filter for a K&N model and plan to do the snorkus mod sometime soon.

Ive fitted a new single din stereo with flip out screen but it catches on the dials so need to bring the stereo forward abit and I need to route cables for gps and rear camera.

Another job I want to do is do something with the multi dials as the black doesnt look right with the silver surround so will look at what others have done for ideas.

Ive also ordered some flyeyes for the rear lights as a cheap option for now and will aim to get the fronts deambered when I have some cash.

I think thats all so any advice appreciated and look forward to many happy miles on this forum with my new Coupe.

Colin

Thanks all.

The stereo is only a cheap no brand, I wanted to try in there first to see what its like as didnt really want to install a double din one.

I think I will have to pull it forward like youve done Silver Ninja but am hoping to spend some time at the weekend on it if the weather is ok.

ah ok, well mine is flush at the moment but obviously that stops the screen opening fully so I will need to pull mine forward.

Is yours an x-trons by any chance? They have some strange fittings. Must be lots of coupes in Dorset loads of you joining lately. Welcome to the official owners club most folk here are on other clubs too but we are the only one that actively promotes a whole community not fractured elements. Fabulous feel here with all the best of the community

Thanks mate.

No its apparently an Erisin ES7888G which seems to be a android type stereo running Win CE. Seems its a chinese stereo so support or updates etc are practically non existant.

cheers

Colin

That's an xtrons make. They have lots of other names. No doubt it does everything averagely but no better. Perhaps save a bit and try a better make they usually fit better.

thanks all.

Yeah the intention is to buy a better one when funds permit but for now it will do.

Any way to hack these or update?

Hi Outlaw :)

Yeah they look cool, although im not convinced by this one but for now it does the job.

So many other mods I want to do first. Perhaps I need to find these other Dorset members for ideas :)

thanks again

Colin
