Hi! Just joined as I recently bought a beautiful condition blue gen3.5 2.0!
My first coupe was a red gen1 2.0 back in 2009 for 3 and a half years until some idiot in a silver astra crashed straight into the side of me at a cross junction where it was my right of way. Smashed me straight into a wall. Completely wrote both cars off instantly, I had to get cut out of the car, but have got to think myself lucky that I'm not six feet under. Windows had smashed into my face and my drivers wing mirror snapped off into my head and cut my eye lid open, super hematoma
just a few millimetres difference and I could have been blinded or worse! But all I could think of at the time was NO! MY CAR!!
I had some nice aftermarket alloys fitted, cherrybomb exhaust (which considering its 'universalness' actually sounded really nice on my coupe) and put viper stripes on myself which imitated that blue gen 1 limited edition version. Looked awesome.
After compensation eventually came through for the accident, I made the stupid decision to be 'sensible' and buy a MGZR 1.4 facelift version to save on costs, (one that already had the head gasket replaced btw, lol) but it just never really excited me. This led me to where we are now, the present, and a new car! The Gen3.5!! And I absolutely love it!
