Ahh man
Someone has written off my car
Seriously wounded. Went to a meeting for work, came outside to find the back end completely [It's had it, but rudely]... words cannot describe how wound up I am. This best thing is, they've managed to smash in the same panel and the bumper exactly where I spent 3 weeks filling/sanding/spraying when I first got the car. I've taken her to my brother in law's garage to confirm whether it's gonna be fixable, but the damage to the panels makes me think something is going to be wrong with the rear axle/chassis. It's gonna take some serious panel beating at the minimum. On top of all of this, no apparent CCTV nearby, no note, and no witnesses. I highly doubt the insurance will do [Flying one] all without a huge excess or a massive increase for next year.
Fully wounded.

Re: Ahh man
Cheers guys. Waiting to hear back and see how much works going to need doing before I decided to scrap or not. My brother in law reckons a lorry or something similar to a bin lorry has hit it too cause that much damage and be able to drive off. Bastards.

There's a special place for folks that do that to a car and don't even apologise

Re: Ahh man
So after scouting the area, no ones CCTV actually covers the road, unfortunately, something to with the law that they can only really cover their yard and not the general public. One lad I spoke to said that there get a fair few lorries pass through because it's an industrial estate, so no real answers there i'm afraid.
The goods news it that the chassis and axle's seems perfectly fine looks salvageable with some beating and filler and a lick of paint that was gonna be in the works. Another good thing is the alloy that took a hit isn't buckled either (thank [Flying one]). So i'll be spending the weekend sorting her out and getting her ready to paint up, might even get the alloys done if the weather permits
Just happy she isn't being written off, could of been much worse.
