Thank you everyone for the efforts to get and keep this site up and running - I hope to contribute my experiences and gain from other peoples experiences.
I bought a gen3.5 by accident - I was looking at an older car and a merc as well - took the older car for a drive, almost did not make it back - too many problems - that was when I spied the blue one I had seen in an ad a few weeks earlier - I took one look, opened the bonnet, listened the engine and said "I'll take it!" - a 2007 55,000 mile 1.6 version - no regrets since, and that was three months ago.
So that's about me.
