South Gloucester Show - HCOC Club Stand - Post Pictures
This weekend saw the HCOC Club Stand at the South Gloucester Show and it was brilliant, without a doubt I think we can say we will be doing it again next year and possibly a new road as far as meets are to be concerned something I am sure Daz will be mentioning soon.
Please post all your pictures here for the weekend.
I will post mine once I have had time to catch up and add my own bit of spiel then, so until then here is a couple to get you started.
Coupes as far as the eye can see and this does not include the ones behind us
And just look at these two !!!!!
Regards

Re: South Gloucester Show - HCOC Club Stand - Post Pictures
So, the show was a great success then and it has certainly revitalized me with regards to HCOC as a group of great folks, it is all very well trying to get an idea of someone online but to be honest it does not work, in fact it can prove to be rubbish, thoughts and views on a screen does not equate to face and personality in real time, something that was proved to me this weekend.
I met so many new faces and some of them have been titles on a screen for over four years and everyone of you was great.
There was cheers and clapping at the end of Saturday and I am sure we was the only car group to do so in the whole show, impressive attitude to the point we have been asked back next year, what a way to go.
Many of us were up at ungodly hours to get half way across the country by half seven in the morning and some faces showed it, he he.
By half seven the car park at Premier Inn was full of Coupes……..
What a sight when we all left Premier Inn at Emersons Green and hit the road, there was coupes as far as they eye could see, literally.
Here are some of my favourites from the show itself.........
I love MK3 Cortina’s I grew up in my Dads 1973 Bronze Mk3 so love seeing this and how clean it was, I wanted it.
Another car my dad had was a bogey coloured green Avenger but how about this rare beast and take note of the magazine in the back window displaying the same exact car in 1982 (magazine cost 17p)
BMW M3 E30 – Complete Restoration – Valued at £125,000 by BMW themselves.
Mint was not the word, I could not believe it was driven in and not trailered, he intends on taking it for a burn next weekend over the Brecons at break neck speeds !!!!!!
Had a good lengthy chat with the owner and he had a second one of these parked at home <O.O>
Monster Trucks
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And so the HCOC CLUB STAND
The 2.0 Turbo Boooooooooooost
The HCOC Preservation Project supplied by Daz
The Judd Machine (organizer of event) ------- OH YEA :D
The Smugmobiles Chairs
Daz found a UKHCC sticker on his window, I have no idea how it got there ?????
Someone fell asleep, it was probably after the ‘Car Hot Box’ situation
(completely legal)
And to wrap up the kind people of HCOC organized a vote by members and the passing public for :
‘The Best Car On Stand 2015’
3rd Place – Thumper and his Sparkly re-sprayed Blue Gen 3
2nd Place – Dodge and his Shiny Shiny Blue Gen 3.5 that is shiny
1st Place – Mr Tuscan and his ‘Korean Tuscani Black (me :D)
On a personnel note, this was my first big HCOC meet and what a way to enjoy it, great people, great banter and OMG a unexpected and very pleased me to be so lucky to have been awarded the best car on stand, I was caught off guard but proper proper pleased about it, thank you to all those who voted full stop and even more to those who voted for me.
Looking forward to doing this event all over again next year, I will be making a long weekend out of it and enjoying the mendips while I am down there, so no need to rush back.
See you next time

Re: South Gloucester Show - HCOC Club Stand - Post Pictures
It was a great weekend, the wife and myself really enjoyed it, I got all the polishes now from Halfords and was just going to start on my wheels, not sure whether to matte black them or gloss when I found a slit in my front offside, so got it ordered having it fitted tomorrow, a big thank you for all your help and advice. Hope to see you all again soon. Derrick and Bev.
