so I did the clutch modification.. you know the one where you remove that little spring and piece of plastic/metal i dont know what it is But either way its out and i stuck everything back together and undone the bleed nipple for the cylinder.. all is well so far, since i needed a second person to help me with bleeding the clutch i got my brother to sit in the car and press the clutch pedal down ect ect.. Nothing was happening 15 minutes later, still nothing.. i knew it had to fill the cylinder but come on .. After another 10 mins i asked to see what he was pressing... He was pressing THE BRAKE PEDAL !!!! then i lost the cap for the reservoir couldnt find about 6 plastic press studs for the plastics... and then on top of it all i picked the tool box up and it wasnt shut properly. it swang open and every one of the 150 spanners,sockets, allenkeys,screwdrivers all fell out!.. Great fun

Glad im not alone in this Haha never letting my brother in my car again.. he might thing the seatbelt button is the door

What about doing an oil change with the drain plug removed ?
Or doing oil change to look round and see new filter sitting there.. Bollocks !!

How about getting so involved in doing a full cambelt and water pump change only to realise after retiming and putting everything back together the new water pump is sitting on the side waiting to be fitted still... (Yes I had removed and refitted the old pump ) - Que remove and refit the belt and pump again!

Where's my spanner ?? I've just used it n now it's gone. Spent 30 mins looking for the [Copulating] thing

check everywhere i have found tools in the spaces between my seat and centre console, behind my head unit... still in my engine bay, in the fridge, the oven ( on the subject of oven i thought someone was cooking something but it was a hub off a Skoda... yeah) and a popular one of losing my keys and to find them after an hour.. they were in my front pocket on my shirt.. Yay

what about this one then :P, fitting a new head unit, unplugging the plugs and putting them into the new unit. All done, all colours are matching ect. Turned it on set it up all good. turned it off.. 20 mins later put it back on and Blank.. system reset, i first thought a wire was loose, checked them all. still reset itself. took the unit out, i went back to the first plug that comes out of the wire loom and Presto the yellow wire changed to red and red to yellow on the first plug. thank you previous owner.... thanks alot

Door cards off doing actuators. C/l all sorted. Nice one.. Next day passenger window not working, me thinking oh [Flying one] I must have messed up,,plan on havin door card off to check. Proper pissed off with myself for causing this problem. What can it be ?? Loose connection, unplugged ? I'm getting irate by now !!!!!!!
Window lock was on ....what a knob am I ??

I also managed to give myself a scare because of the window lock.. started as a prank on my friend saying he broke my window .. it backfired a bit haha

i added to my list of complete fails and due to equipment failure i was locked out of my car at 11:30 pm ... yeah i think i deserve a pat on the back for that one, turns out my remote phob ran out of juice and well since i knew it was locked i didn't try and use the key because i knew that if i did as soon as i opened the door the alarm would go mental.. so i had to phone my dad to come to me with my spare key and phob haha ! on the brightside i now have two working headlights

Let us know how the clutch performs with the mod

i love it took a few goes to get used to it though, Its very snappy now, the biting point is in the same place but if you drop the clutch it actually does what you want it to, its also very easy to spin the wheels up to

Is this where someone says you could bleed the clutch with one person (perhaps not lol)

you would need some really long arms and amazing flexability haha

Did mine on my own, just use a bottle and flush it through till its all clear job done, none of this open and close and open and close nipple stuff needed.

It pumps out much more than it sucks back in and after two/ three mins of pumping all your left with is clear fluid, its not a circulated system like the brakes so much easier in that respect

The penny only dropped when I did mine and had a go and noticed how little was sucked back up the pipe.

Makes the story about the wrong pedal even funnier though

This is very common - not all cars/stereos have their permanent/switched lives wired the same way round hence why the ISO adapter usually has inline bullet connectors to allow them to be easily reversed. Mismatching of red and yellow is therefore quite 'normal'.
