HCOC The Hyundai Coupe Owners Club ®And Forums

Hey there people I recently purchased a Hyundai coupe gen 3 and out of all my cars its by far my favourite but it did have companion with my fiat stilo for a while till it really started to grow on me,
And well its my 5th car and reliability so far seems bullet proof! Bar when I 1st got it the dealer fails to mention the oil leak from the rocker gasket, as I liked the car so much I decided I'd fix it myself so I did and no problems since...

Right well abit about myself...
My names Jay (so hello everyone)
I'm 20 years old
Live in north walsham, Norfolk I used to live in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire,
Erm my job well I'm an apprentice gunsmith & retail & General Picker and packer all for one job
My hobby's are pretty much nothing but my car but unfortunately due to my age sh*t wages, so not much to spend on my car as I have other bills such as rent, council tax, eletric, ect... So my car won't get many mods very often which is a shame, all the mods I do I like to do myself (not much knowledge on cars but I learn on the way) only mod I've currently done on my coupe is a cone air filter with cold air feed not really a mod but its a start and I have a big imagination but unfortunately a low budget, apart from that I watch tv general soaps and work about it lol
I live with my partner we are independent, not sponsored by mummy and daddy (wish I was lol)

What else can I add?....
My girlfriend hates me loving cars so much, but oh well I love cars!
If I ever win the lotto ill spend infinity amounts on my car!

Also I painted my stilo myself so might consider doing my coupe as well my 1st time ever pairing and tbh it looked really good at the end I will upload photos at a later date or later today anyone wants to ask me anything feel free

Hi jay welcome to the club, nice for someone to put such a detailed hello message, loving the apprentice gumsmith!!!!

Don't worry you Mrs will come round mine still thinks im a "Car geek" but she has started getting involved with my mods and the club meets etc, bring her along to a meet I'm sure she will come around a bit after she see's how nice and welcoming the people of this club are and how much fun the meets are.

Great write up! I don't have a lot to spend on my gen 3 either mate.. but she's getting there slowely. Keep scaning eBay, get some real jems turn up every so often

eBays my best friend just paid markb to do my headlights in pure chrome with halos :P I'm getting either a aftermarket spoiler off ebay like £50 from china (just for show mainly as don't like the coupe ones personally) or led strips under the car like neons I'm 50/50 on what's next ill make a thread one day about it all maybe a gide on the led strips unless already been done?

And my mrs just hates everything to do with cars lol

And yeah work for a company called pellpax :P family business so was easy to get into but had to move 150 od miles from my home town for the job

Welcome mate. I was lucky I managed to persuade mine and told her I would get rid of the blacked out windows etc. but she soon hit used to them!.

I want blacked out windows but I've got some serious rust problems to treat first
