I must say hello here!

Therefore, Hello!

I am not a spambot, I'm in Maidenhead, near Windsor and just bought an old Gen 2 coupe for the princely sum of £220 ...

I may have questions such as what clutch it needs and why is it on fire, time will tell.

So hello there!
Dave

Cheers! Nice bunch!

So my car is a bit rough, but I'm enjoying her so far ...

I'll get some pics up as soon as I can!

I'm looking to clean her up a touch so want to respray the front bumper which is fecked (Needs a bit of a fill, good key and then a spray down.

Also looking at the timing kits for the gen 1 and there seems to be loads, will put a post up asking for recommendations there, the DOHC belt setup has me a little confused at the minute mind.

Equally going to sort brakes and tyres out when I can :-) At least the little 15s are cheap compared to what I'm used to !!!

Thanks everyone again for the warm welcome. I like it here :-)

Haha!!! Yeah, I signed up on the top two links, and have no particular preference - but I have had a nicer welcome here ...

I don't know if you're posting in jest/irony or serious so I'll withhold further comment.

But thanks for the welcome :-)

Have you had a look how dead it is on there? Weeks without a post. Totally serious

Welcome to the club

The cambelt only drives the exhaust cam, there's a timing chain on the other end that links the exhaust and inlet cams together

Welcome on board Dave.

I tried the other forum too .... not much happening at all ... i didn't even post a hello I was that unimpressed..
found the right one here .. much better, friendlier, knowledgeable and lots of information knocking around in the archives to read through.... I'm happy!.
