Hi there. Just Chris saying hello. Havent joined sooner os i thought it would cost, and wasnt sure i'd be keeping my coupe. however it seems to be going ok { had some early problems that caused reliability doubts, but has been ok a while now}. Am enjoying driving it when theres a clear bit of road. I think mines a type 3 but its had the orange glass removed by the previous chap, and is badged up with Tuscani sills n stuff. Its a 1.6 so a trifle calm but probably for the best. goes round wiggly bits great in the dry.
I;m retired from the fire service and probably shoud have something a little more mature, but i likes it.
Thought clutch on the way out soon after i got it but turned out to be master cylinder pressurising. new one and cut 5mm off operating rod and hey ho- working ok and 30mm of free pedal spare. still very sensitive to resting foot on it but the car has a nice footrest at the side of the pedal. clutch ok 2 years on. well thats enough from me for a start. cheers. c
