hi all im steve,and am looking to buy my first Hyundai,some friends keep telling me to go for the celica.but have set my heart on the Hyundai.

hi mate and
. to hcoc. go with the coupe. a guy i know had a celica and the engine gave out. and he brought a coupe. and was well pleased with it. so it coupe all the way.

hi all,thanks for the great welcome,am 60yrs hope not to old for this club,lol,have an 03 mondeo but must have a coupe ASAP.do they have any common faults,thanks again steve.

Not too old at all, our Manager Mike is in his 60's
You may need a pipe to compete however

I'm 58 and they tolerate me!
Common faults: Clutch, do a thorough check for slip. Electrical ancillaries (sunroof motor, window motors, central locking actuators). Handbrake cables. That's pretty much it.
If you suspect Hyundai dealer maintenance has been done, any dealer can tell you what has been done by any other UK dealer. Do an MOT check at
https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ which will tell you some of what's been done, and an idea of how good the maintenance has been (a long list of advisories or fails mean it's been skimped).
