Just bought myself a Gen 3 2.0 coupé. Very proud owner. What should I be looking out for as a new owner? I've come to realise alarm systems and central locking is deactivate on my car. I'm assuming this is a common fault. Car is fully standard but have already bought myself some gen 3.5 headlights, import front plate, lowering springs. Wheels soon enough. Clutch bite point is rather high. This a characteristic of the coupe or do I have an issue? Don't feel much slip. Anyways looking forward to learning my way through the car and hope to enjoy it for years to come!

Welcome to the club.

Check the service history and see if the belts were done at the correct time/mileage.
Alarms are common to go on the Gen 3 and yes the clutch bite point is high on the coupe. Takes a while to get use too.

Thanks guys!!

Very little service history so I guess I'll be changing the belt and tensioners end of month to be on the safe side. What timing belt service intervals anyways? Good to know there's more of you out there that like the look of the coupes. Fallen head over heels for her, their gorgeous cars and I got a bargain.
