A newbie guide to modifying your coupe.

I thought it might be good to have a place where newbies could refer to for their first simple modifications.
If members could list here different easy mods they have done this would help, also list what newbies shouldn't do,that way we will have a comprehensive guide that will hopefully steer them correctly!

I recommend-

Headrest embroidery-which convieniently is done by my company lol.
It's easy to get just send your headrest covers off, costs 30 quid(20 if prestige member) nothing to it but looks factory done.

I don't recommend-

Thinking about any sort of chipping for power or buying anything off eBay for power without checking

The first thing alot of people do is change the badges. Most popular are the T tuscani badges but several others are favoured as well . Autoria Tigris and Tomato (aston style) for example All available either on E bay or from Performance Coupe :character-oldtimer:

Have to say this is one of the easiest and best mods along with de ambering and spraying insides black, but for a good job I'd suggest Mark http://www.hyundaicoupeownersclub.co.uk ... 898#p64898

As Alex says , next most popular is "tatlocking" ie . Deambering the headlights and either leave silver or spray black, Easy job with a heat gun but you can get it done for you. Clear side repeaters are also next on the list ( performance coupe)

Drilled or Drilled and Grooved brake discs may or may not stop you any quicker - but they certainly look the" bees knees"
By common consent the best come from MTEC. Together with your choice of caliper colour they make a visual difference at least.
Dupe will tell you that you need a BBK (big brake kit) but I'll leave that to him :icon-lol:
And finally , if you can't run to new alloys you can always refurbish your own to choice

The Mods to do for me would be cold air intake (CAI) and catback.
Quite an easy way to start the modding bug :icon-biggrin:

Things to avoid would be cheap headers as I have heard horror stories about them oh and also asking folk to not bid on an item your bidding on on E-bay :laughing-rollingyellow:

Ark racing Ariel.

Much shortened "bee sting" Ariel will replace the enormous fishing rod fitted by Hyundai.

Available from Performance Coupe with site discount ---> http://www.hyundaicoupeownersclub.co.uk ... .php?f=290

Underbody lighting is very easy, but you must add a sort of splitter to hide the view of the bulbs, that way they will then become legal to use. (As informed by traffic police)
