Hi all,

I've just purchased a 2002, 2.0 se.

I was looking for a different car, but nearly purchased one of these a few years back, so thought I'd bite the bullet as it seemed a good buy.

I've only had a test drive and should be picking the car up at the end of the week. Hope I'm going to like it!!!

Charlie

Should be picking it up at the end of the week, so will give it a good blast out & let you know, fingers crossed haha

Any tips on anything I should be looking out for would be greatly appreciated. I'm also dying to know what the ice sounds like, think its standard as it is. Am I gonna need an upgrade on this, love my tunes!

Hey up mate

Well, I've posted some pics of the car up now.

But after looking at some of the others on here, I want to de-amber the lights.

The amber cheapens the look me thinks!

He's in Wigan, judging by his profile info.

But send him a pm and have a chat about it. He'll explain everything regarding the de-ambering service to you :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Cheers for your help Mick.

I shall sort it when I pick the car up. Think its gonna need a run out before I do anything with it. I think that will be the only mod I do, oh and the stereo if it needs it!

Cheers Dan,

It was a bit of an impulse purchase because I needed a car quick sharpish. But it looks tidy enough for its age.

Never owned a silver car before, or a Hyundai Coupe, so we shall see how it goes when I pick it up

Mighty fine impulse buy then dude haha. The coupe is a great car to own and silver is an easy colour to live with. I really miss mine now even though its still parked up on the drive. Will be taking the pics to get it sold this week which will be sad :(

How long do you have to wait before you get your hands on it?

Great to see another Silver Gen 3 mate, looks mint as it is but deambering is a bit of a must and will freshen it up completely :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Always treat/see yours as a 2003 when sourcing parts. The Gen 2 was still being sold in 2002 in many countries (not here) and therefore many of the motor industry systems have the Gen 2 to 2002 and Gen 3 from 2003!
Cheers pal,

I've already sent an email to the friendly de-ambering man on here, so hopefully have it tatlocked asap. I just want to make sure the current lights are in perfect condition for the return, then that will be the first job. It definitely freshens it up, judging from the other pics on this site.

And thanks a lot for the tip off on the parts, thats a great help buddy

Much appreciated

Charlie :handgestures-thumbupleft:
