Just purchased my second ever car... a red 2.0 litre SIII Had it a week and done around 300 miles in it, so far I love it. Its totally stock but I have plans for it! First things first however, I have to sort some things out; LED high rise light didn't work upon purchase but that's fixed now (I may put a post up I took some pics of my DIY). Timing belt also needs to be changed sooner rather than later; from what I have researched this seems relatively straight forward?
Among other things, I ordered some car mats with red stitching for £23 online as the ones in it right now are horrific. Tuscani badges are inviting but seem rather expensive (can only find wheel caps for ~£50, bonnet and boot badges for ~£25 and steering wheel badge seems a reasonable £7 but all in that's pretty expensive....) Alloys are in good shape apart from the nearside front, which is actually pretty bad condition so may look into a full refurb soon. Also looking at painting calipers when I have time and finally there is some close-to-tearing leather on the bolster of the driver seat - any ideas on how I fix this or is it just a prevent it from worsening job?
Anyway, hi
Howdy

Re: Howdy
Hi there, welcome to the forum.
De-badging the coupes look nice and may work out cheaper than buying new badges depending which route you go, professional or diy.
The seat bolsters always seem to go, something I need to look at getting done on my red SIII. I thought best to take it to upholsterers but that is a job for another time, bigger fish to fry with the coupe first.
You may get 'told off' for asking questions in the hello section, it's for hellos only so they say.
But anyways you got the best colour SIII in my opinion

Welcome to the club
Can't comment on the badges or the seat but for about £50 of filler, sandpaper, paints and primer it's fairly straightforward to refurb all four wheels in whatever colour you fancy
